....Nature prefers square bodies, hanging ears, straight stifles, etc. I'm sure I'm not alone with a confused look to this statement. In nature, I can't think of anything with hanging ears... not cats, not canids, not monkeys, not bears, equines, bovines, ovines..... Elephants ~maybe~ but I imagine they just have large ears, not flopped-over-the-ear-canal ears. I would think especially in cold climates, large hanging ears would not last too many seasons in nature.
