The scanned negs and slides show a good and wide gamut from the pure black to the pure white in my monitor, it's the scanner merit at least in part, according the propaganda the 4990 model has a second lamp to improve the shadows scanning. I have received today my new Epson 4490 Photo, it's similar regarding the 4990 however you can't scan LF slides and negs, you can scan MF and 35mm only, I hope to try it this week-end.- All the best Carlos --- Craig Roberts <crgrbrts@xxxxxxxxxxx> escribió: > Another Epson 4990 scan of a Rolleiflex 2.8E Xenotar > transparency (Fuji > Velvia 100): > > www.aerialacts.com/gnome.jpg > > Craig Roberts > Washington, DC > --- > Rollei List > > - Post to rollei_list@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > - Subscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > with 'subscribe' > in the subject field OR by logging into > www.freelists.org > > - Unsubscribe at rollei_list-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > with > 'unsubscribe' in the subject field OR by logging > into www.freelists.org > > - Online, searchable archives are available at > //www.freelists.org/archives/rollei_list > > __________________________________________________ Preguntá.
