Mark, I do tend to stand aside in these discussions, but I think there is a time to concede gracefully. The original question was "fuel pump", not non fuel injected consumer cars selling more than 1000 units in the continental USA that you personally have worked on.

I am almost positive 31510 was made by SU and simply marketed through Lucas. SU had a problem with sales to Europe for reasons now obscure. The German Army was reluctant to buy M88 gassers for the reason that they had SU fuel pumps.
