Plextalk PTP1 Line In

Hello,
I'd like opinions from anyone who is familiar with the
PTP1 mic jack as a line in jack? Does it perform as well as the
separate line in jack on the PTR2? Are recordings made on the PTP1
the same quality as recordings made on the PTR2?
