REMEMBER ...there are negatives and positives about every company. Just
because one person has a bad report doesn't mean another will..were I you I
would research online and find out what others have to say. I have a friend
who SWEARS by Dell..wouldn't have any other computer.

I totally agree. When I had my store, I expected to be working on a little
of everything. I was stunned when the first 90 customers that brought
computers in brought in a Gateway. Their reasons for doing so varied from I
had the best repair prices, best hardware replacement price, to Gateway
will fix it free but they want the customer to pay shipping, etc. Only was
there one person who was angry (spit-fire angry) at the company and would
have nothing to do with them.

I had a group of farmers who used nothing but Packard Bells to operate the
farms. Several of them would tell me that Packard Bell was the "only" good
computer out there. Flip side, I had some doctors tell me the Packard Bell
was unreliable- and it conked out at critical times of an operation. They
urged people not to buy them. Two very different opinions.

After that, it tapered off into a little bit of everything. We worked on
all of them except Commodores. (I couldn't get Commodore parts.)

So, Jo, go and rest that your Dell is a well built machine. Almost
everyday, we heard a new 'bad' report about a company, or a 'new' good
report. I would say that only 0.01919 percent (less than two percent) of
the people buying any brand name were unhappy with that company.
