Very true, a couple of us have gotten close to him as a friend (so we thought)
Then he did a complete turn around and started sending offensive emails.
Also, making accusations and telling lies about one of us to the other.
It was very frustrating...I guess we all got sucked in by Marten.
We felt sorry for him.
You must have seen email from Marten Bevelander on this forum from time to time.

Which is why using a mailwasher program to just get RID of his mail before
it ever gets into your boxes would do better. IF EVERYONE leaves him alone,
STOP responding even to ask him to stop, after a while the no response will
take the steam out of this tirade..the more you make contact the more fuel
for the flame.. It's like junk mail.. NEVER NEVER acknowledge that--it will
just let someone know your e-mail is active and the stuff keeps coming. Let
him know it upsets you and he will just continue.

I think that's what everyone who is getting mail from him should do. Maybe
they will ban him. Of course he will just go to another isp but maybe he
  will
  get tired of it
