A black screen sounds kinda artistic, in an Avant Garde sorta way. Give the mouse some extra calcium for a few days and see how it responds. We'll probably have to have a talk with the overly vocal WinPatrol, though. Any deeper clues as to what might be at the heart of these issues? I'm not seeing any connections between them, so I'm wondering if a surface scan CHKDSK followed by a SFC scan for corrupted system files might do you any good.
