I went to Start, Run, sfc /scannow, o.k.
It asked me to insert Windows XP Pro disk which I did but it went no where.
It said I had the wrong disk. I canceled out (which was not easy as it kept
asking me if I wanted to skip this file and continue) I have never used the
disk before as Windows XP Pro was installed by the computer shop. There is
a small manual with it which I have never read. Plan to do that now and see
if that sheds any light.
I know you warned me! But I really did not know what to expect.
