It seems like you've reset it. The blank screen you see is probably just a 
blanket screen to cover the DOS messages. If you remember what key to press 
to enter the BIOS, I would do so and get into the BIOS and have a 
looksie... see if it was indeed reset. Also, you can probably bypass the 
black blanket screen and the see the DOS commands and messages by hitting 
the ESC key.
