One way would be shut down the system (all power off). Remove the card (leave the case open for now) and power up. Let windows boot normally. Run normal maintainance checks to ensure files are ok, and SFC for system files (to make sure the plug and play works properly). Then power down and disconnect mains. Replace the card an start up again. Windows should discover the card and request drivers for it. Supply whatever driver disk it needs and check the multimedia area under control panel to see if the sound devices are available.
