The sound stopped on my daughter's computer at the same time that the Modem quit. Unfortunately she is up in Canada, several hundres miles away. She is running Windows 98 and she was able able to get the Modem driver replaced and the modem working with some help over the phone. Is there some procedure that will interrogate the sound card to identify the model amd manufacturer so she can download a new driver? OR is there another way to attack this problem. Sugestions appreciated.
