Additional information.
The paste of the URL does not work often if done in the same window,
but if the browser is closed and then reopened, pasting the URL and opening
the map quickly seems to be consistent.
The initial opening of Mapquest was from either the Google Search or
the Mamma search but the actual selection was made from the Mapquest page so
I doubt if that had any bearing on how it worked.
