What operating system are you utilizing?

With Linux, the drivers for all of the VMWare hardware is already
present in modern kernels.  For Windows, who knows...  I don't play in
that world much.

If you are running through the VMware new VM creation wizard, the
driver relates to what VMware will present to the guest OS as the
virtualized hardware.
