You don't say how old the printer is. My best guess, (I have an Epson printer), is that the head cleaning fluid could be low. Mine has a place where you can top it up, and it needs it every now and then even if you don't use the printer. If there was any other problem, cleaning the head 4 times to get it to print, to me would indicate nothing is broken, or it wouldn't have worked after cleaning it 4 times. Sometimes the little openings the ink comes out are blocked with dried ink. This happens if you don't use your printer very often, or if you use discount ink like I do. I've had to remove the cartridge and wipe the print face with rubbing alcohol to get it to work, and then it does. I've even had to use a bandaid wet with solution attached to the openings to dissolve the dried ink.My biggest problem is the colour orifices, because if they are only partially blocked, the colour doesn't print true. I could solve the problem by buying the expensive ink specially made for my printer, but my heritage doesn't allow that...Doug --- MUGLO information at <http://www.freewebs.com/muglo> Manage your account options at <//www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi>
