[modeleng] Re: Pfeifferbahn now Milner Hunslet

After looking at the prices and adding them up, are you sure that the 
Hunslet is not full size!!!.  I got somewhere near 3,800 pounds sterling 
for the poor soul who has to buy all the castings.  Prices over here are 
pretty high also which is why almost all of my locomotives (5) are 
mostly fabricated.  I did make patterns for the wheels of my Filer and 
Stowell logging loco and had them cast at an iron foundry near 
Nashville.  Made patterns for cylinder blocks of my 2-1/2" scale NG 
(7.5") Mich-Cal Shay and cast them out of brass myself. Pilot wheels I 
bought from Railroad Supply and they are the ones used on their 4-4-0 
American. I don't remember the price, but they were pretty reasonable.  
I always say fabricate where possible.
