Dear, dear Andreas,
It's consoling that you understand why the US did not take action against
Israel when it attacked an American ship. But would you kindly explain to me
why that is? Tell me why the US government would accept this attack so
gracefully, please, given that Israel is not a useful ally to the U.S.
Really, I'm interested, but forgive me if I don't believe either you or I
have all the answers behind the US's decisions. Is the Zionist lobby
currently so powerful? I think you and Omar overestimate it. Many Jews in
the US have been voicing an antipathy towards Israel's policies. Jews are
not of one mind anymore, if ever we were.
