[lit-ideas] The beginning of the end in Iraq

Yesterday was another major point in the war in Iraq, and perhaps the final
point.
James Baker, Secretary of State under Bush Sr. and one of the key people in the Bush family,
gave Bush Jr. a secret proposal on how to get out of Iraq.
The proposal was leaked to the press. This was intentional. It was likely leaked by Cheney
and Rumsfeld. They leaked it in order to see the reaction. If there is no major uproar, then
the Bush White House can quit in Iraq.
In the early spring, the US military gave up on Iraq. Now, the White House as well has given
up. There is no one left to support this war, not even Cheney and Rumsfeld.
