Imagine a scenario where Saddam remained in power
that could produce a better result than what we
have now. Might be an interesting thought experiment.
You don't need to imagine. The situation all around was better six months before the US
invasion. The Iraqi were better off, the region was better, the USA wasn't in a fiasco, and
so on.
Saddam was not a threat. Bush invented a threat to terrorize the American population into a
war so his oil friends could profit.
