I take that back it is better than I thought. I still had an error in my
script that adds blank lines. There are only 200 back translation issues with
the old code verses 8600 which is really nice. Many of the back translation
issues that still exist need to just be special cased. For example armchair
back translates to armuchair.

John you were correct. I changed back to the old function in the 2.5.3 release
and I went from 8600 back translation problems to 400. I don't know what else
it breaks but should I go ahead and make a diff of this and send it to the
list? It sure looks much better.

The problem is in the function isEndword in lou_backTranslate.c . It is
supposed to determine whether a potential contraction is followed by
something that could be part of a word. It was working. However, when I
tried to fix some reported bugs sometime last year that evidently made
it worse.
