We aren't "digital men", or "film men" . I've used both and still do, but I've come to believe that the endless discussion of "all that" has become a complete waste of time, especially in the absence of photographs to look at...<<

Hi Steve,
Rightly so! People these days get all hung up on the digital crap technology or similar kind of crap about film. Rarely do we see discusions and use about the qualities of light and angles for best visual effects. If "ONE IS A PHOTOGRAPHER FIRST AND FOREMOST!" the interest is about photographs and the impact that counts most. Film or digtal who cares, we're photographers !

Steve; I'm sorry if I came across as condescending, phew ! Just trying to explain my thoughts re. film becoming a more cultish art form but, nevertheless surviving. Personally, I've virtually abandonned colour film although I can still get slide film and superb processing. with B&W, I can, at least, maintain reliable control of the medium at an affordable cost.

Re. images. I'll send you some, off list, if you're interested. i haven't posted any...except on Facebook. A lot of this stuff is new to me and it'll take a bit of time. I did have a photo essay in the sept. - Oct 2005 issue of Canadian Geographic and I illustrate a few articles a year although I wouldn't call that work "fine art" by any stretch of the imagination.

I 'd love to see some images, so please...send me links, or better send them to the list.

We are photographers here, as such we take and show/look at photos...

I'm a film guy too, but I'm also a realist. Film is not quite out, but it's on the way out...

btw, I still have my M3,5,6,7's.....they are beautiful and could be in a museum, they are/were wonderful tools, I may sell them, please let me know if you want to buy them...

one thing though, I must point out, after quoting you...

it'd easy to see that you are not enamored by digital, in fact your attitude is condescending,

at best.

Remember, you get out, exactly what you put in....

Where are your images ? I would like to see them...
