[1] I don't recall it on this list, but I just started awhile ago. I do recall getting several emails from Juno [I have no record, but January 2001 sounds right] warning me that any emails containing attachments sent to users using Version 1.49 would henceforth not be received, rather they would simply sit on the server and fill up your allowable quota of server space. If the space filled up, then you could not receive messages, and your correspondants would get a message that your address could not accept any more email. Previously, the server was kind enough to delete the attachments and send the email minus attachment to the 1.49 client. So, I not only sent out an emailing containing similar information to your signature line, but I created a new email account to which I changed people from whom it was critical I get information without possibly having my box clobbered with attachment junque from spammers and others. A couple months later, I got a Pentium class computer, and upgraded to Version 4.x People with this 1.49 problem need to go to the WebMail part of Juno periodically and read/clean out the email/attachment garbage. [2] Good thought. What are the experiences of others? thepccat On Fri, 17 Aug 2001 11:09:55 EDT Joann Lee <dnehoc@xxxxxxxx> writes: [..] >I went looking for mail at > webmail.juno.com ... and found about 20 very large messages, dating > back to January 2001 waiting for me.
