Carlos,

Looking at the first page, the esc=FAchenos en vivo link does use
JavaScript. Instead of using HTML code to define the destination of the
link, JavaScript is used and Jaws 7.1 doesn't recognise it as a proper =
link.

If you're thinking about upgrading to Jaws 8.0, the news is slightly
better. I could access the esc=FAchenos en vivo link, which in turn =
opened a
new window to play the radio station program. This is a result of the
improved JavaScript support in 8.0.

It's still worth writing to the web site owners, as there are
definite improvements they could make to the site with a little effort. =
Jaws
7.1 won't be the only application having difficulty with JavaScript =
links of
that kind. Around 6% of the Internet don't, won't or can't access =
JavaScript
driven content. That's a fair few people in the scheme of things!

While I was investigating that site, one thing I found useful was to
turn off I frames. This cuts out some of the advertising content from =
the
page.

To do this, press Insert v to open the verbosity dialogue box and
then press the I key to move to Inline frames. Press the space bar once =
to
toggle the setting to Hidden, then close the dialogue box. This will =
remain
in place until you move focus away from your browser.

I don't have any trouble with the Freedom Scientific web site, in
any version of Jaws that I can think of. If you're having a specific
problem, let us know so we can explore.

L=E9onie and Pete
Actually, I've two websites I'd like to have some help with. The first =
is
the radio station mentioned in my first message. The link I need to =
click is
esc=FAchenos en vivo which is usually the third one from the top. The =
second
website is going to surprise you...
http://www.caracol.com.co/
http://www.freedomscientific.com/fs_products/JAWS_HQ.asp
The click I hear while trying to access the F S website sounds quite
different to the one I hear from the Caracol website.
Please help if possible, but in any case I=B4d be very interested in =
your
comments.
thank you,

Carlos.
