I switched my Ssnsa E270 over to MTP, and USBInfo shows it
as a ? and 255 255 255 in the Class SubClass and Protocol,
same as a scanner.
One significant difference is, as an MTP it has 3 endpoints 
instead of 2. 
That may be one way to find the MTP device.
I imagine the device doesn't get passed to SCSI  at all,
but it would be interesting to know what happens with a
scanner.
