Has anyone else experienced !smbserver problems as here: having tried 5.18 and then reverted to 5.16 for various reasons - including an inability to run Samba under the new OS, I now find that I cannot get Samba to run, even back on 5.16 :-( When the ADFS::HardDisc4.$.!Restore516 is run, are there any bits which were changed with the 5.18 flash which are then not changed back? Now, every time I run Samba I get the error message "port 139 failed, using port 6790 instead!", clicking OK lets Samba run. Then, any attempt at access from my Win7 laptop produces an inaccessibility error on the laptop and an error box from RISCOS saying " Internal error, trap while in trap handler Internal error: abort on instruction fetch @ &00000000, pc=FFFFFFFc registers at 0012A254 " This is repeatable, and every time the error numbers are the same. Can anyone see a way out of this? I really miss the ability to connect RO & laptop :( John -- ____ /__ __________________________ /____Mail from mail@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx . . . using RISC OS 5.16 on an XScale powered Iyonix computer. --- To alter your preferences or leave the group, visit //www.freelists.org/list/iyonix-support Other info via //www.freelists.org/webpage/iyonix-support List-related queries to iyonix-support-moderators@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
