Unfortunately, I didn't consider the fact that running the flash upgrade
from Memphis would of course mean that the reversion file would immediately
disappear  :-(

Yes, definitely. It presumably puts the reversion file in the same place as
the file is run from.

One more failure now: Netsurf loaded up during the boot sequence, but after
some use has now quit and does not react to attempts to run it.
