Yes I am and in retrospect think we did the wrong thing by making the
statement "... the forum will close please go over to cdnusers.org".
It is kind of embarrassing, but we should have asked. The decision to
move was a hasty one and it doesn't feel right to me anymore.
The general idea behind cdnusers.org is good, but at the end of the day
it is up to this group to decide where to communicate and network.
Austin said it in one of his posts. If cdnusers.org is better, people
will go there and this list will disappear naturally.
So, maybe it would be a good idea to unsubscribe from this forum if a
user is moving to cdnusers.org. That way we can see what people want and
once we reach the 2/3 mark (480 users)
we suggest that the rest moves over as well.

Logging on to a website to respond to an email is ridiculous. Ever heard
of email tools such as MS Outlook?
I don't want to tell the web team at Cadence what to do, but I suggest
that they take a look at Encartis (see freelists.org) if they are
seriously interested in making this work.
Anyway, if users like to create their own forum they will do so, no
matter how hard you try to prevent this.
Having said all that, I don't think it is in the best interest of the
users that this forum moves or is being closed.

Hello Andreas,
I have a few questions and I'll understand if you prefer not to answer:
Are you committed to (eventually) closing this forum?
If yes, will any amount of pleading by the users to keep it open change
your mind?
If not, would you consider passing on ownership to someone who wants to
keep it running?
