One of the main reasons I'd like HaikuHandheld (or HaiPhone!) is these
things are next to useless if you don't have sync. Having the same OS
and the same filesystem and to some extent the same applications on
your desktop means syncing is a matter of connecting, comparing, and
copying, not handshaking and coverting and what have you...
That's not necessarily true. I rarely sync my iPaq. Recently though, this
is due to the fact that I switched from Win to Ubuntu as my main OS, and
haven't yet been able to get MultiSync to work yet. But even before, I
rarely did a sync. I use my iPaq constantly, and keep a lot of info on it,
but other than backing up my SD cards (which I do outside of any form of
sync anyhow), I don't use Outlook for mail (I mainly use webmail services),
nor the calendar on my PC/Laptop. Not everyone needs sync to make their
device useful.
That all said, it'd be _REALLY_ nice to be able to sync with Haiku. ;)
