Back in the day, any time I needed a quick answer to a problem in Be, I would log into BeShare and there was always someone there to help. It would be great for newcomers and the community in general to have this again. BeShare works flawlessly in Haiku, and it's a great way to centralize communication and speed up development- you can share files, links etc..
Could we include BeShare in the Optional Packages? And just to make it even more newBe friendly, have it automatically connect to the default server (currently beshare.TyComSystems.com ) at startup?
Also list it under the Community page..Perhaps it is superseded by Twitter? I don't know. Even still, BeShare was always the hub for the community, and it still is- there's just no one there! :-) I see "binky's" connect and disconnect which means people are checking it out..
