It is not clear to me, who wrote what here, and I don't seem to
be able to find the original post, by Paul Deema, so I reply to
this one. Regner.

Dear Regner,

I started it, and I did not accuse anyone of deceit, except those of science
who teach as FACT what is only a theory, without saying so. That is deceit.
And this thread had nothing to do with your person, or the project you are
involved with here.

I am, along with Faraday and many others, among those who engineer the
artifacts of science which you use and admire. It is not the theoretical
scientist who theorises, but the engineers like myself who look at the theories
and apply them to a purpose, not prove them as a fact. And even then, that only
proves the application not the theory.

I was basically trained on three manuals.. Electrical Theory. Applied
Electricity. and Electrical Work. The first was always changeable, and never
accepted as fact. Electricity flowed from positive. Then it changed from
negative to positive. Today they are not sure anything flows.

But that does not change the fact that an engineered electrical motor works.
whilst the theorist still has no certainty.

Theory is never proven by application. It is only supported.

Till now I had given you every respect for integrity and honesty in science.
Till now I had no reason to do otherwise. I will only quote one item out of
your tirade below which seems to indicate the truth of my original claim of
dishonesty in science from the engineers perspective. That is that even you
here insist on calling a theoretical opinion as a factual truth. You claimed,

"The Universe isn't more than about 14 billion years old, and
the Solar system is about 4.6 billion years old."

WHO SAYS SO? You cannot prove such an outlandish claim.

You continued,

"That's of course according to this conspiracy of infidel scientists who
also brought you the the computer and the internet and weather
forecasts and satellite television and international phonecalls
  and, ...

WHO SAYS SO. I do not. Engineers sorted and sifted the real useful
applications..and made the artifacts, not the scientists.

Are you saying Marconi or Tesla or Edison or Faraday needed such information
as "the world is 6 billion years old," as a base for their engineered practical
innovations in radio and science.

But you are guilty here of the charge I made about the NGO TV series. That is
of calling something that is no more than an opinion, not even a valid
theory...a factual truth. Even if it was a valid theory, it is still deceit to
teach it to children as though it were factual. Especially is it morally wrong
to tell them they definitely descended from apes.

Philip Madsen..

but I forgive you if you wrote all this in your happy hour.. Whats your
favourite beer. Mines fourex.

  * The Universe isn't more than about 14 billion years old, and
the Solar system is about 4.6 billion years old. That's of
course according to this conspiracy of infidel scientists who
also brought you the the computer and the internet and weather
forecasts and satellite television and international phonecalls
    and, ...
  * Just because you haven't yet figured out how to do something,
    doesn't mean somebody else hasn't.
  * Just because we can't tell how something started, doesn't mean
that everything we have found out about what happened after that
start, is based on lies and fabrications.
  * Calling people dishonest and deceptive (liars), just because you
can't figure out how they did something, is very bad form, and
highly indicative of a closed mind (not that your mind should be
so open that the brains fall out, either - a good middelground...).
I believe some respect, humility and courtesy would be well placed.

      Regards,

        Regner Trampedach
