Sorry to put you through all that work Paul, but I thought you was talking from
the helio perspective, as I was. Been there done all that.
However Paul,
after all this time I thought you would have gotten a bit familiar with
geocentrism.
Perhaps a little explanation is in order with some analogy. The sound barier.
When a body is flying through the atmosphere at the speed of sound, we can say
it is moving at the speed of sound, however long before jet planes we had
turbines or at least flywheels whose peripheral speed was more than 1100 ft per
second, in other words more than the speed of sound. Yet we did not consider it
as really moving anywhere, through any sound medium, spinning as it was in its
own space..
In the geocentric system, you must look at the solar system first, yet
excluding the world called earth. In this system we have the planets making
their particular yearly trips around Sol. With respect to the sun, all the
speeds are heliocentrically the same as you expect them to be. No argument
here.
Next I want you to consider this sun system and all the stars THE ENTIRE
COSMOS as being part of a "solid" object, like a flywheel that is more a
spherical shape, whose centre is the world called earth. Within this "solid"
sphere nothing can exceed the speed of light, and nothing does. This "solidity"
is the medium of light. One might say relativity works within .this sphere. I
call it the aether, for want of a better name, a rather primitive term with so
many misconceptions. 'space-time barrier' fits nicely. After all what we see is
a long long time ago.
We now have this sphere doing a 24 hour rotation around the world. So, like the
solid flywheel doing a peripheral speed faster than sound, likewise we have a
sphere whose size indicates peripheral speeds that could be measured as many
times the speed of light.. YET THE SPEED OF LIGHT IS NOT BEING EXCEEDED
BECAUSE THE MEDIUM IN WHICH LIGHT TRAVELS IS WHAT IS MOVING.
I know this is mind baffling, but not as much as Einsteins maths. I struggled
with it.
Imagine it is a big spherical pond of water rotating once per 24 hours, the
increment of change outwards is not enough to be noticed by the fishes swiming
in it. (Much less even than the latitudinal change in the earths rotational
speed, which is so gradual as to not be noticed by earthlings).Bernie will get
quite irritated with this. . . Now fishes all the way out to the periphery
will not know or feel or sense any speed. The fish at the centre theoretically
if he was imbedded in this fluid wouldn't know either because his "stationary"
would have a slow rotation, with the same angular speed. . That after all is
what real relativity is all about.
But for.. and this is the big BUT. His God told this central fish that the
stone on which he lived was un moving, rock solid , aand if that is true,
wonder of wonders, those fishes we can see way out there are travelling faster
than many times the speed of light. Not really any problem in that at all..
Its just a matter of perspective... so long as the flywheel holds together and
dosn't fly apart. ...maybe it has,,, hmmmm a new theory for an expanding
universe...

I don't say that Uranus and Neptune are travelling faster than light --
Geocentrism says it.
The speed of light was first determined to be 180,000 mps (before the speed
of sound was determined) by the apparent leading and lagging of the orbiting of
Jupiter by its major satellites due to the extra distance the light had to
travel across Earth's orbit as Jupiter moved from inferior conjunction to
superior conjunction. Subsequent experiments largely supported this measurement
but refined the estimate to 186,000 mps. These latter experiments were done in
Earth based laboratories and did not involve what you might call assumptions
thus the new value can be used to verify that the understood distance across
Earth's orbit was -- approximately -- correct.
With the speed of light now known, the distance to the four gas giants can be
determined from the round trip time taken for radio signals to and from the
Voyager space probes as they passed these planets and the diameter of Earth's
orbit is confirmed in the act. The distances understood to be known prior to
Voyager were not modified post Voyager. Thus the orbit radii of Jupiter =
489,900,000 miles, Saturn = 887,100,000 miles, Uranus = 1,784,000,000 miles
and Neptune = 2,795,500,000 miles are known.
The circumference of the orbit of Saturn is -
2 * pi * r = 6.28 * 887,100,000 = 5,570,988,000 miles
and travelled in 86,400 s (24 h) gives a speed of 64,479 mps.
The circumference of the orbit of Uranus is -
2 * pi * r = 6.28 * 1,784,000,000 = 11,203,520,000 miles
and travelled in 86,400 s (24 h) gives a speed of 129,670 mps.
The circumference of the orbit of Neptune is -
2 * pi * r = 6.28 * 2,795,500,000 = 17,555,740,000 miles
and travelled in 86,400 s (24 h) gives a speed of 203,191 mps.
On these numbers, it is only Neptune which travels faster than light. Guess
that'll teach me not to quote without verifying! To show my integrity, I've
left my error intact.
Concerning where men have travelled. In 1968, the crew of Apollo VIII circled
the Moon -- which is MUCH more distant than 300 miles -- and on Christmas Day
of that year, read from Genesis while so orbiting. While in orbit they also
took photographs including photographs of the rear side of the Moon. These
photographs were of a quality superior to those taken by Soviet Luna 3 in 1959

but comparison will show sufficient points of equality to verify that they are
of the same landscape. Though I cannot show you here, I have in my possession a
Super-8 movie film of the high lights of Apollo VIII -- purchased in 1969 --
which probably shows scenes from the rear side of the Moon (it's a long time
since I watched it). It's in a rather inaccessible box unfortunately but in any
event, I don't own a projector. I've been meaning to get it transferred to
video tape or DVD for some time -- maybe soon. Subsequent film has only
improved the resolution and thus confirmed the obvious -- men HAVE orbited the
Moon.
Concerning comet trails. Yes -- I know about directions and why. I meant only
to call to mind the pictorial impression.

PS Why don't Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune -- two travelling at greater
than the speed of light -- have their atmospheres blown away like a comet tail,
if space is NOT a vacuum?
1st, what planets are travelling faster than light????
2nd, a comets tail is not really a tail, like as in behind the movement. The
comets
"tail "can be in any direction, even in the direction of the motion... It
certainly is not blown away by movement through the vacuum.

If you believe people in white costumes that tell you, one or more of,
Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune travel at the speed
of light or faster then you should look for
a new hypothesis of Cosmology, that is not heliocentrism.
"No man has ever ascended higher than 300 miles, if that high, above
the Earth's surface. No man has ever orbited, landed on, or walked upon the
moon."
