Looking at those links Allen, I have to say Iam pretty convinced myself now of
the expanding Earth theory.
To me though, this makes my water canopy even more neccessary, otherwise a much
smaller Earth, with the same amount of water on it, would surely have been
completely covered in water?

Yes, Pete I agree that is where the water went to.....I just think that the
expanding earth theory can demonstrate that in the most consistiant manner
posible with both bible and science.....besides by if the mountains moved up
and the valleys low that by defintion would have to include the possibility of
a expanding earth....since that is exactly what happens in that theroy......but
the land masses i would argue split when the fountains of the great deep broke
up ( I argue against a Peleg continetal break, I argue that it is not supported
in scripture)...I don't know if you have seen this but you might find it
interesting in the following & animations..??.

Hi again, Allen, as for where the water went, well the scripture in psalms
proceeds to say, (after saying about the waters being above the mountains until
they where to flee upon Gods command), that the Mountains proceeded to acend,
and the valley plains to decend.
So, in the year following the flood, the vast weight of the extra water
gradually settled in the lower parts of the earth, causing a shift in the crust
of the earth, sinking some, the valley plains, and correspondingly raising
others, the mountain ranges.
Would also explain why so much of the earth is covered in water wasting a
lot of space that God might have used for more Human habitation.

It might also help explain and expanding earth theory as well if the weight
of the extra water split the land masses apart?

Pete a few comments in blue..

The difficulty with the water canopy, i would argue is numerous,
unessisary and still cannot explain where all the water went after the
flood..however the expanding earth theory,
