The idea behind the site I am launching is to give people like yourself a
reason to take these half finished projects to completion. As I say, we can
help with various aspects of development. While working on various aspects
of games and then carrying the theories/code forward to new projects is a
great way to learn things, working in the industry we do see a lot of people
who have never tried to finish a project and when it comes down to it
actually struggle to do it. Finishing a project is just another part of the
development, unfortunately one that a lot of people just say - well ive done
the hard bit getting this on screen, I could finish it if I wanted but I
want to do something else.

Saying that - I don't mean everything people start should be turned into a
finished project. A lot of times you get half way through something and
realise that you should have gone in a different direction. This process
itself has given great information regarding which ideas work / don't work
etc so next time it is easier. But a lot of people have a game idea or two
that could work very well, but never seem to finish the project off.

Is it that you cant be bothered to finish the games or you don't feel they
are worth finishing or you are just not sure how to finish them? Just
interested what the main reason is behind so many peoples half finished
stuff - Personally I tend to find that it hasn't gone to plan and I needed
to do it a different way so I start afresh reworking the same problem until
it works better.

Adrian

i also generate a couple of half finished games every month or 2. as i
am relatively new to some things i like to spend time doing something
in the context o a game; and once i finish i can't bear to touch the
rest and finish it. generally each program i work on has something
unique and when i've done that i carry it forward into new projects,
as such the quality of my work ( although poor in realtion to
porfessional) incereases and i can do more in the same timespan and
code is more effiecent.

seems like lots of people here are interested in commercialisation.
you could set up a website between you ( or for all interested members
) and between the profits pay for a general site pay system and a nice
site
