(via internet i mean) Why not? As long as you shift enough copies, you can't lose by using an inexpensive channel. :-) > i know that the games must be very addictive and fun for you to win > money, It would seem like that's not really required... :-) It's either that - ie games that sell themselves through demos and word-of-mouth - or a massive marketing campaign, preferably with some well known brand names in the mix. > but any of you have experience on this?? Not, me; I'm just an observer and spare time hacker. (I code for a living, but not games.) > so what you guys think about this stuff? Great idea! I'm definitely interested, though I don't have any "products" at the moment. Not much in terms of demos either, though I'm hacking some weird stuff in the little spare time I have... That, and my new real time scripting engine (EEL), might help realize some ideas of mine, starting in a few months or so. (Well, there is good old Kobo Deluxe, but the game is not my design - it's a port of an old Un*x game - and it could use some new artwork. Either way, that game is and will remain Free/Open Source.) //David Olofson - Programmer, Composer, Open Source Advocate .- Audiality -----------------------------------------------. | Free/Open Source audio engine for games and multimedia. | | MIDI, modular synthesis, real time effects, scripting,... | `-----------------------------------> http://audiality.org -' --- http://olofson.net --- http://www.reologica.se --- --------------------- To unsubscribe go to http://gameprogrammer.com/mailinglist.html
