There is both a Display Manager / FoxView and Alarm Manager command that allows you to run any program or script, appropriately called "run". I am more familiar with the Alarm Manager version. I have used this to run programs (I have used Wordpad, but you can use whatever you like) with command arguments. For example, you can select an alarm and select a button on menu item that will run an application with alarm parameters. For example, I have configured AM button action as: run D:\Program Files\Windows NT\Accessories\wordpad.exe \tmp\<Compound>-<Block>.<AlarmType> This will open a file named for the selected C:B and alarm type. "run" is available for both Solaris and Windows (above). -----Original Message----- From: Stear, Bo [mailto:stear@xxxxxxx] Sent: Friday, October 11, 2002 9:59 AM To: Foxboro Mail Forum (E-mail) Subject: [foxboro] Documents What, if any, are the best methods to give access to documents such as SOP's to operators from the Foxboro Workstation screens?
