Hi CAPS and coaches -
Congrats on a good city meet! While there are many metrics on how you could
judge something like this, I think my son summed it up well when he said "I
don't think we had a single swimmer miss a race!"
I haven't seen any updates, and I wanted to send out on more ping on the final
events. As of now, I do not have the pancake breakfast on the calender and I
only have a place holder for the Final Celebration a week from tomorrow. Also,
are we going to try to pull together a Cinzetti's time for Saturday night?
This one might be as easy as saying "5:15 meet at Cinzetti's". I don't know if
we have called ahead in the past (and with ~10-15 kids + parents + coaches,
I suspect they would be able to fit us in. :-)
I believe we would need to get something to the coaches tonight if we wanted to
get this in their 2nd to last email of the season.
If we have something after that, I can send out team e-mails as I create events
in the calendar.

I just got a "event" out for the sunday night next Wednesday, please let me

Practice for Last Week Set for 8-9 Mon-Thu
What is the plan for practices? In the past we have combined practice times
(since we generally end up with 10-20 kids unless we have many kids want to
swim even though they may not go to state). We could do one practice
and do only one session if there aren't to many kids. Coaches, this feels like
a wet issue, so I expect we will go with whatever you would prefer. (Your High
School group might also like moving their start time back a bit. :-))
Pancake Breakfast
Date: Thursday, July 24th
Time: ?? After practice, 9-10
Also, we need owners for:
- Griddles? (Heidi has committed one)
- Plates, knives, forks
- Batter
- Syrup, butter
- ???
Banquet
I put in a place holder on the 28th, but it is hollow (and I haven't blasted
this to the team.
Time: ?? 6:00? 6:30? 60/90/120 minutes long?
Location: ?? Pool
Potluck: ?? Session 1 bring a main dish, Session 2 bring side or dessert??
Also, do we have owners for:
- Confirming pool? (Dan?)
I know we are asking for volunteers. I haven't checked if those slots are
filled yet. If we have our two planners, they might be able to give
me our 1st pass thoughts. History has ranged this from relatively simple to
over the top. I suspect we will all shade to the simpler
side. I'm not sure if we should look for volunteers to do pictures into a
slide show? (Takes some AV setup, etc). Often fun but not
necessary.
