This has become a universal scam that has spread to other companies including eBay, Visa, and MasterCard. People need to be very careful about these types of email. The scam actually occurred in June of 2003, but I have never heard of this before and thought it was interesting. An e-mail message was circulating the Internet stating that someone else was using your Best Buy account. The e-mail message then tried to get you to visit http://www.digitalgamma.com, which looked like the real Best Buy website. The fraudulent website then tried to get you to enter personal information. This is a classic scam, the fraudulent website didn?t even mask the URL as bestbuy.com just ?digitalgamma.com?. This fact alone should be a dead give away to malicious intents. It is chilling to think just how many people today would still be fooled by such a scam.
