I don't mind a rechargeable battery pack but I hope they make you can put regular batteries in it when the rechargeable one goes dead.

I guess I feel this way.
I am sure that the new Bookport will probably have a rechargeable
battery pack.
I will in all likelihood buy it, but I will use the old one when I
travel.
The idea of being able to quickly and easily replace batteries no matter
where I happen to be has always been one of the most appealing aspects
of Bookport's  functionality.

So would I. But remember Eloquence is a memory hog.

I sure hope we haven't opened a new can of worms here.  Everyone seems
to
like a different speech synthesizer.  We have taken that particular
subject
around the block a time or two on this list.
