Laura Ann,

Sorry, I meant to mention in the message that I didn't mean to be picking on
you or your validating skills, but to point out why Gustavo probably kicked
back your submissions when you validated them.

I don't believe that this is a policy change. What people have failed to
realize is that Laura Ann also had two books kicked back to Step 1 which she
did not submit. Shelley's Super Nutrition book was kicked back because of
having Dr. in the author field, and I believe Laura Anne also validated
Deadfall that was submitted by Teresa Taylor. I don't see that book on the
Step 1 page now, but I believe it was kicked back to have the title
verified, for the second time. If Gustavo is having to kick back other
books which Laura Ann validated, then it isn't surprising that he would
prefer her not to self-validate.

Hi, Laura Ann! I'm working on a submission right now, and it has taken me
longer than usual to get it done, because the original file was corrupted by
K1000 a few weeks ago. When I'm done, I'll validate some of your books for
you. BTW, I'm working on London Refrain, Book 7 in the Zion Covenant
series. Books 8 and 9 to follow. I hope that a member of the Bookshare
staff will weigh in on this soon. This certainly hasn't been the normal
procedure concerning policy changes. Take care!

just wasn't listed on the rules for valadation and I did reread them
recently.
Strange to just now be adding that as a rule but I can see needing to to
verify copywright info....it just isn't posted anywhere and I was surprised
to read this as the reason they weren't added to the
collection.....frustrating after all the time and energy I put into it.

Thanks
Laura Ann

Hi Laura Ann,
This didn't use to be strict policy, but it looks like that's changing now.
Sorry you got caught in the winds of change here. I'm pretty sure this must
have to do with wanting two people to verify copyright info just to make
sure that someone doesn't submit things that can't be accepted and then
validate them themselves. It sounds like you've submitted a bunch of nice
clean scans and put a lot of work into them, so I'm sure others will enjoy
validating them and that they will make the collection soon.
