E, I think you have done a wonderful job of toning down your messages and making them sound less harsh than they used to. You do a good job--a thankless job--of taking on books that in my opinion aren't fun to clear up, not only because of problems but because of content. As you know, I'll take books that are a mess, but I'll only work on them if I find them interesting. I wouldn't even attempt, as you know, the ones you take. And since there's no way for a validator, or even, often, a submitter, to know why a books is rejected, your explanations are valuable. I wish someone could tell me why my submission of The World's Best True Ghost Stories was rejected so I could know what has to be done to it to re-submit.
