Hi Patti,
The book's rating may change or may not. The bookshare site has a tool which 
assigns a proposed rating to the book. I believe that happens after you upload 
the book as valid, that is, after step 1 of the 2-part 
validation process. When a submitter uploads a book, the rating they assign is 
the one you see if you look on the step one download page. When you finish 
validating  a book and decide to accept it, you upload the 
book and then you see a form. One of the items on that form is the text quality 
rating. and at that point, the rating you see is the one assigned by the 
bookshare automated tool. It may be the same or different from the 
one assigned by the submitter. You as the validator may change the proposed 
rating, based on your knowledge of the book's quality.
