Hi, Tom. That probably is exactly what happens. When you submit a book, it's
pretty much instantaneously on the download page. A validator probably
grabbed it, and it's now waiting admin approval. That's where books that
aren't on the download page usually get tied up. Take care.

I have been there, but I am in doubt about the completeness of the "Step 1"
list. I submitted a book weeks ago, and I have yet to see it in that list.
Maybe it zipped through the system while I wasn't looking, but I can't find
it in Bookshare's collection, so I doubt it. Maybe the upload failed, but it
sure didn't look that way at the time.

So are you saying that there is a step that lies between "awaiting
validation" and "available on the system." in which the book totally
disappears from all lists, and is just in Marissa's hands? That could
explain my situation.
