I also like to write 'at bottom right of the screen'. Or possibly 'in
the bottom right corner of the screen'.

Appendix C is very useful. A lot deals with 'systems' (ie
hardware/software used in tandem and to a recognized specification).

Actually, _Read Me First_ does deal with this question. In Appendix C,
"Questionable Terms and Their Alternatives," the entry says:

    right-hand side - Use "right side"

However, I certainly agree with others that you should only
use the physical location if some potential for confusion exists.
