Bill, Select the text, then from the Format menu at the top, choose Font. In the "Effects" section of the Font window (all the checkboxes), the last item is "Hidden." Then, if you have "Show all nonprinting characters" selected, you can see the text. Otherwise, it disappears. Note: You can also modify a style to be hidden, by modifying the "Font" options of the style. rwl From: austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:austechwriter-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bill Parker Sent: Monday, 27 August 2012 11:30 AM To: austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: atw: Re: MSWord feature Nothing! I am using Word 2011 for MAC (OS 10.7.4). There is no "hidden font" option that I can find. Bill On 27/08/2012, at 9:02 AM, Terry Dowling wrote: Here's a little experiment for you. Type three separate lines of text separated by paragraph marks. Make the middle line (including the para mark) hidden font. If not already, make the hidden text not visible. The entire row should disappear. Line 3 becomes line 2. Put the cursor at the beginning of the new line 2 and type a letter. Tell me what happens on your computer.
