I'm not a printer guru so not totally clear about what you mean by
"double-siding" - but think you are talking about printer settings. I'm not
hooked up to a printer right now - but pretty sure these apply to the whole
document - and with the kind of document you are describing applying these
would have mixed results on the different sections.
What you can control section by section are margin settings, maybe you could
achieve the same result by adjusting the margins on different sections.
Another way is to change the indent settings of the content, placement of
graphics and tables etc. This option might mean quite a bit of work to
achieve though!

Hi. Help!
I'm working on a Word document (2010 installed) which has to flip from
portrait to landscape and back numerous times. Some of the portrait pages
will be A3 and some A4.
My section breaking and page sizing works just fine, but I was wondering is
there a way from within the document to tell Word, by section, to tell the
printer driver specifically to select long-edge doublesiding or short-edge
doublesiding.
I'd like to avoid having to perform unnatural acts when printing. But I
fear the worst...
