I do not have the extended warranty only because I run the machine a couple hours a week on average. If you run it more than 30 hours a week, I would suggest getting it. It will pay for itself. If you run it less than 30 hours per week, it will probably be less expensive to pay a tech each time. Just cross your fingers a circuit board doesn't go out.
