Anand,

When you turn it off at night instead of turning it off with the switch just 
hold down the red stop button until the light goes out.  This puts it in 
sleep mode.  In the morning hold down the green go button until the lights 
turn on and its back out of sleep mode and will continue wherever it 
started.
