Warm up the tootsies! We just got back from the 4 day training in
Denver. It
was very enlightening and we learned a lot. I think you will like the
staff
there. They are very down to earth ordinary kind of people with lots of
experience and are very willing to help. We bought our Amaya in June.
But,
given we didn't have anything else to compare it to, did not know what
to
expect. Logically it made sense. It was cheaper than the competition
(Tajima
and Baruden). It sewed much faster. 1100 to 1200 stitches per minute
compared to 700 to 800 on the competition. That was a plus. Melco's
approach
to using software controls rather than hardware controls made sense to
us
given we have a computer bent. The issue really boiled down to whether
we
could learn a new software package and the finer points of embroidering
on
the machine. The software was easy. Embroidering is the challenge now.
Unless you have a lot of experience in embroidery technique you may have
a
bit of a difficult time in turning out acceptable garments at first.
Maybe I
am too picky. But that is where we are. So far this embroidery thing is
a
hoot.

business. I currently have a deposit on one, but Im getting cold feet.
Im looking forward to reading the replies to your questions.
