Hi Julie. I believe the minimum required browser version for audible is version 8 of IE, you should be able to upgrade to version 9 on your netbook if its running Windows 7 or 8 if running XP. Once done, try downloading titles, making sure to check the action bar by pressing alt plus N to see what alerts are shown, its possible IE is asking whether you wish to open or save the file. All the best, Ibrahim. I suppose I could try using that computer. Yes, audible manager is configured. I have been abel to download on this netbook for years without any problems till now. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ibrahim Gucukoglu To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Thursday, May 09, 2013 10:45 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: audible Hi Julie. Which internet browser are you using? You may be prompted to allow the download which is why the download is not proceeding as per usual. Is Audible Download Manager correctly installed and configured? All the best, Ibrahim. If so, is there a work around with Jaws? When I press enter on the download link, nothing happens and I'm just taken back to the library. I am told that there is some sort of sub menu and to press pass key and spacebar to adtivate it. What is the pass key I need to press? I'm really frustrated as I've been able to download books happily for years till now. If anybody can help, I'd be very much obliged. I've sent an email to Audible but don't anticipate a satisfactory reply, just the bog standard one. Thanks and best wishes, a very frustrated Julie.
