Hi all

I also get frequent freezes with Outlook 2003. I'm on a Samsung q330, win
7, 3 gig memory. It's a very quick machine, and it only happens with
outlook.

The freezes generally happen when replying, opening outlook, and sometimes
when doing control y to move to another folder.

Hi Mike

Mine doesn't do that, it just freezes sometimes, end of. Replying to an
Email is an instance where it happens, like this morning for example, when
the whole bugger died on me. No sound, no nothing, dead! I'm wondering if
this is happening to people when they use Outlook 2003, or if it is randomly
occurring?

Grrrr! (smile).

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Jackie,

Yes, exactly. For example, in replying to this email, I counted 11 seconds
until it said "message to Access UK" then another 9 seconds until I could
navigate or type anything into the email.

Running Win 7 standard and JFW 12 standard on a 64 bit quad core 4G Ram....
I don't think it is under spec.

Bring back the pigeon <smiles>

Regards,

Mike

Hi Mike and Eleanor

I have noticed, on the odd occasion, that my machine completely freezes when
using Outlook 2003. If I reply to an Email, for example, everything just
goes stone dead, JAWS disappears, and nothing happens. Sometimes I can just
press the on/off switch quickly and it will shut down properly. But
sometimes I have to force the PC off, and I don't like doing so.

I'm wondering if Office 2003 is getting a bit too old for Windows 7 Home
Premium 64 bit? Any thoughts?

It's only now and then that this happens, but as you have both raised
issues, I would add my own voice here.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Eleanor,

Funny, my computer is hanging when using Microsoft Outlook 2003. When I
reply to an email for example, especially if they are not plain text, it
takes a few seconds to think about it.

Regards,

Mike

Hi
I have a problem developed only recently. I can be reading a word document
or an e-mail or even writing and the computer freezes for a second or two,
then all is well. However this keeps happening. Now you could say maybe I
have a problem with my computer but it has started happening on another
computer too. the only thing I can think of is that I have started using
MSE on both computers and more or less at the same time. Might something be
updating and causing this freeze? I am wondering if I should remove MSE to
see if it resolves the problem.
