Hi Eleanor, It couldn't hurt to try. What I'd do is uninstall MSE, reboot and as unplug your network cable, or disconnect from yoru WIFI. While there could be nastys hiding on your machine, and I could say stick another anti virus one, it'll be a fairer test without introducing another piece of software. As you've two computers at home do the experimenting on one. I can be reading a word document or an e-mail or even writing and the computer freezes for a second or two, then all is well. However this keeps happening. Now you could say maybe I have a problem with my computer but it has started happening on another computer too. the only thing I can think of is that I have started using MSE on both computers and more or less at the same time. Might something be updating and causing this freeze? I am wondering if I should remove MSE to see if it resolves the problem. ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 6804 (20120117) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 6804 (20120117) __________ The message was checked by ESET Smart Security. http://www.eset.com ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
